BROOKLYN: Do the Right Thing . . .

In the wake of Michael Jackson’s death, it’s only right that we emphasize the importance of honoring our living legends and pioneers. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz’s did the right thing by proclaiming June 30th (that’s today) 2009 as “Spike Lee Day”. This also marks the 20th anniversary of Spike’s third film Do The Right Thing.

Note: We’ll let the MJ media frenzy settle. Stay tuned for more on Micheal Jackson’ life and the meaning of his music to The Bearded Man in his next installment of “The Bearded Man Speaks, “I’ve been a fan since May 13th 1983″ . . .
